Wyandotte County man sentenced for insurance fraud

Topeka, Kan. – Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt, today, announced a Wyandotte County man has been sentenced to 18 months of probation for insurance fraud.

Quincy Falls, aged 69, pleaded guilty on March 27, 2026, in Wyandotte County District Court to one felony count of insurance fraud. Falls falsely reported he sustained injuries from a collision but was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced on July 23, 2026, to 18 months of probation.

“Every time someone commits insurance fraud, it causes families and businesses across Kansas to pay more,” said Commissioner Vicki Schmidt. “The Department will continue to hold these individuals accountable.”

The Kansas Department of Insurance investigated this case which was prosecuted by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.
